United Ministries is a holistic approach to the care of the poor, homeless and those in need in Greenville County. Located in the city of Greenville, United Ministries seeks to move individuals out of the web of poverty by offering job skills programs, housing improvement programs, a "day shelter" where the homeless can go for bath facilities and day job opportunities, emergency assistance with utilities or travel, a food pantry and crisis counseling, all on a case management basis. First Presbyterian Church supports United Ministries with financial gifts and food donations through our Helping Hands collection box in the Fellowship Hall.
